Walter Lee Turner, Sr., 54, Sandusky, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on November 9, 1955 in Waynesboro, MS and resided in Columbus, OH for 37 years prior to relocating to Sandusky.
He is survived by his wife, Margaree Turner; son, Walter L. Turner, Jr.; daughters, Deontee (Douglas) Carter and Tasha (Kenny) Morgan, all of Columbus, OH; mother, Ermie Turner, Sandusky; mother-in-law, Margaree Curtis, Columbus, OH; sisters, Christine (Javain) Webb, and Geneva Turner, both of Sandusky, Mary Turner and Bernita Turner, both of Columbus, OH; brothers, John (Cheryl) Turner, Jr., South Carolina, David (Takesha) Turner, Sandusky, and Rowland Turner, Columbus, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Turner, Sr.; sisters, Berneta Turner-Payton and Pearlie Turner; grandparents, Elmor and Pearlie Turner, and Walter and Mary Cunningham.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 Noon at Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, 1814 Second St., Sandusky. Superintendent Ross Johnson, Pastor, and Elder Sylvester McSwain will officiate with Rev. Albert Porter delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
