Larry C. Seiler, 75, residing in Sandusky, passed away with his wife and daughters by his side on Sunday evening, December 6, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Larry was born on September 30, 1945 in Shelby, OH to the late Delbert F. and Dorothy L. (Hohler) Seiler.
Larry graduated from Sandusky High School in 1963. He was a Veteran of the US Army who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Captain from the Perkins Fire Department in 1995 after 25 years of service. Larry opened, owned and operated Seiler Remodeling for many years. Larry was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, taking his classic cars to shows and flying model airplanes. He was a member of the Amvets #17 and the VFW #2529. Most of all he loved spending time with his two grandsons. Family and friends were always welcome too.
Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen "Snookie" (Fantozzi) Seiler, whom he married on April 22, 1967. He is also survived by his daughters, Audra "Mooch" (Roger) Rooker of Castalia and Trisha "Clyde" Seiler of Grove City, OH; grandchildren, Adam (fiancée Emily Lance) and Bryan Rooker; sisters, Janet Lippus, Jean Dye and Jill (Paul) Schroeder all of Sandusky; brothers, James (Dianne Farrar) Seiler of Sandusky; Bernard (Candace) Seiler of Huron and John (JoEllen) Seiler of Sandusky; brother-in-law, Dan Goodenow of Bowling Green, OH and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Goodenow; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents and several other family members.
Private family funeral services will be held at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Sandusky Chapel. Father Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Friends are invited to watch services via Facebook Live by visiting the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Facebook page on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
