Paul Sherman Frantz Jr., 84, residing in Norwalk, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at his residence after a brief illness.
Paul was born on June 27, 1936 in Luzerne, PA to the late Paul S. Sr. and Thelma (Richardson) Frantz.
Paul attended Sandusky High School. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard, proudly serving his country while stationed at Fort Knox. Paul retired from Stierhoff's Moving Company in Sandusky after more than 30 years of service and was a member of The Teamsters Local 20. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending car auctions, flea markets, fishing and gambling. Paul was a very loving, giving person who was always willing to help anyone.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Tonja (Paul) Cooksey of Norwalk, OH, step-children, Mark (Sheila) Johnson of Malakoff, TX, Parrish (Clifford) Davis of Raeford, NC, and Samantha (Neil) Smith of Southern Pines, NC; brother, Robert (Sharon) Frantz of Castalia, OH, grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his first wife, Sonja Ann Lindsley Carte; second wife, Opal E. Frantz; children, Sean and Judith Frantz; three sisters, Stella Frantz, Dolores Brant and Beverly Snyder; and one brother, John Frantz.
A graveside service prior to inurnment will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2602 Bogart Rd. Huron, OH 44839 with Chaplain Mel Sayler presiding. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory in Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
