Calvin "CB" Brown, 64, Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 21, 1956 in Sandusky, to the late Mary Zella Brown and Marvin Odell Edwards Sr.
Calvin was a native southsider where he grew up on Putnam St., then later moved to Perkins Twp., where he received the nickname "CB" at Perkins High School graduating in 1975. He then was employed by Ford Motor Co., Sandusky for many years.
Calvin loved his family and was a Mama's boy. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, dancing to his favorite music, fast cars, collecting model cars and movies, and stuffed animals, loved watching wrestling and action.
He is survived by his children, Tangela (Samuel) Davis, Calvin Churchwell and Racharde Brown all of Sandusky; sisters, Catherine (Harry) Edwards Sullivan and Christine (John L.) Edwards Moore both of Cleveland, OH, and Irene Edwards, Sandusky; brothers, Ellis Edwards, Marvin Odell Edwards Jr., both of Sandusky, DaMarquis C. Brown, Norwalk; twenty one grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, an unborn great-grandchild; uncle, Ellis Edwards, Omaha, NE; aunts, Odessa Edwards, Los Angeles, CA and Helen Edwards, St. Louis, MO; special brother-in-law, Steven "Snake" Brown Sr., Sandusky; special friend, Cornelius Amison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Ellis Edwards and Nannie Edwards Stewart; paternal grandparents, Anthony and Willa Anna Brown Sr.; and grandson, Calvin DeWayne Churchwell.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. COVID 19 protocol will be enforced.
