Celeste Carol Hathorn, 59, Sandusky, transitioned to eternity January 9, 2021 unexpectedly at her residence.
Celeste was born to Elma and late James Lash on September 20, 1961 in Sandusky Ohio, and was a proud 1979 graduate of Sandusky High School.

hroughout her adulthood she worked at, Golly Gee, KFC, and Van Dresser Incorporated.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was added to the Church of Christ, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Among her many nicknames "Doll" was used frequently due to the fact that she had to be carried as a young child because of her challenges. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends and was known for her fashion and talent for keeping a spotless household. Despite the expected challenges she endured this side of time surely grace and mercy followed her all the time of her life.
Celeste is survived by her mother, Elma Lash, Sandusky; two grandchildren, Marliyah Nicole Miller and Martonias Dakari Miller; brothers, Dwayne Lash Sandusky, and Dean (Tara) Seavers, Boston, MA ; sisters, Deborah Lash Sandusky, and Stevie (Clint) Ann Hathorn, Columbus,OH; a host of very loving and supportive nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Lash in 1995; daughter, Tiffany Hathorn in 2014; grandparents, Nathan and Earnestine Jones, and Reverend Eddie and Louberta Brown.
Celeste, you will be sadly missed, but we know to be absent in the body and present with the Lord. She has fought the good fight, she finished her course, and she kept the faith. We love you, and may you praise, walk, skip, and run around Heaven all day.
Friends may call on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
