Geraldine R. (Behrendson) Watson, 84, residing in Castalia, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2021 at The Commons of Providence following a lengthy illness.
Geri was born on October 6, 1936 in Sandusky, OH to the late Louis and Helen E. (Lang) Behrendson.
Geri graduated from Sandusky High School in 1954. She retired from the Margaretta Board of Education in 1995. Geri was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers and was very fond of animals. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Geri is survived by her daughter, Robin (Kevin) Dwight of Castalia; sons, Mitch (Sara) Watson of Castalia and Michael (Amanda) Watson of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Dana, Jason, Joanna, Joshua, Nicole, Catherine and Peyton; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Paseka and Lois Meyers both of Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Geri is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Watson; daughter, Dawn Marie Hemmer and infant sister, Darlene.
Friends may call on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
