Barbara Jean Davis, 84, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 18, 2021, at her residence.
She was born on January 1, 1937 in Sandusky, to the late Gospie Howard and Charlene (Rice) Alexander.
She was a 1955 graduate of Sandusky High School and worked at Firelands Hospital as a nurse for 28 years.
Barb was a member of Harvest House Missionary Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star #34, where she was a mother advisor.
She is survived by her children, Darlene Walk, Donovan Davis, and DeLisa (Carlen); nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; step daughter, Sheila Davis; special god son, Daryl Murphy; special friends, Bobbie McDonald and Nora Monegan; host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Davis Sr.; sons, David L. Davis Jr. and one in infancy; parents; son-in-law, Preston Walk; great-grandchild, Lianna DeQuichi; and a brother, Delbert Alexander.
A walk through visitation will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021, from 10 A.M. until time private funeral services at 11:30 A.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Josiah Brown will officiate, and Rev. Dwayne Davis Jr. will be the eulogist. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
