William F. Pelz, age 69, of Castalia, passed away Wednesday morning, January 20, 2021, in his residence, following a lengthy illness.
He was born December 30, 1951, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a tool and dye maker for General Motors for 31 years.
William was a member of Wayside Temple, Castalia, and the Biker Memorial Fund. He loved to go to Cedar Point every year, riding all the rides; and even went over 100 times in one season. William enjoyed to go fishing and boating, and he loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife Sarah (Dingus) Pelz; three sons Jason (Rachel) Pelz, Robert (Stacey) Pelz, and William (Amber) Pelz; three grandchildren Jacob, Ryan, and Lacey Pelz; sister Nancy Salefski; sister in -law Mary Ann Pelz; brother Dale (Beth) Pelz; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruth (Simon) Pelz; brother Kenneth Pelz; sister in-law Ann Pelz; and brother in -law Larry Salefski.
Friends may call from 10 AM until time of memorial services at 11 AM, Monday, January 25, 2021, at Wayside Temple 3809 Maple Ave., Castalia, OH 44824. Pastor Rusty Yost will officiate. Burial will take place later at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
