Carol Jean Kotz, 83, Sandusky, died Saturday, January 23, 2021, at her residence.
She was born in Sandusky on December 12, 1937 to the late Reginald and Eunice (Strickfaden) Kotz.
Carol retired from Firelands Community Hospital as ward clerk for over 30 years and also worked for Panera Bread.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, volunteered for the Red Cross, loved volleyball, baseball and bowling.
She is survived by her companion, Sandra Timm, Sandusky; brother, Richard (Edith) Kotz, Sandusky; niece, Deana (Tom) Kotz; and nephew, Dean Kotz; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Shirley in infancy.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, OH 44870.
