Robert Whitney Duden, 69, residing in Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, February 1, 2021 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Robert was born on December 13, 1951 in Sandusky, OH to the late Gene W. and Mary Lou (Groves) Duden.
Robert graduated from Sandusky High School in 1970. He was a Veteran of the Navy who proudly served his country from 1971 to 1976. Robert retired from Commercial Printing after more than 30 years of service. He was secretary/treasurer of the Sandusky Typographical Union No. 237. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, aviation, building harps, computers, drinking exotic teas, listening to music, watching old movies and spending time with his family, who enjoyed his unique sense of humor.
Robert is survived by his sister, Deborah (Tim) Jeremay of Huron; niece, Rachel (Roger "RT") Chambers; nephew, Todd Jeremay and his great niece and nephew, Eva and Colt Chambers.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Friends may visit on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
