Ossie M. Pearson, 87, Sandusky, died Friday, February 12, 2021, in Parkvue Healthcare Center.
She was born on October 28, 1933 in Talladega, AL.
Ossie was employed by the former Good Samaritan Hospital, the Sandusky Pediatricians, and was a Home Health Care Nurse. She also operated Hallelujah Catering.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, on the Missionary Board, member of the choir and a cook, the NAACP, and she received the Sandusky Citizens Award in 1998.
She is survived by her children, Osmond Leroy (Pamela) Pearson, Kalamazoo MI, Anthony Jerome Pearson, Paulette (Harold) Roane, both of Sandusky, Philip Tyrone (Triianne) Pearson, Louisville, KY, and Patrick Alan (Andrya) Pearson, Vernon Hills, IL; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Willie Frances (Smoot) Amison, Toledo; special sister-in-law, Randa Smoot; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Pearson in 2015; mother, Beulah Terrell; brothers, Eddie Frank Smoot, Thomas Lee Smoot, and Charles E. Smoot; and her grandparents.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, from 6-8 P.M. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 A.M. in Ebenezer Baptist Church. Rev. Clayton Howard will provide the eulogy. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Memorial contributions in Ossie's name may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church.
