Phyllis Annette (Pepitone) Andrews, 64, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 24, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.
Phyllis was born on September 13, 1956 in Sandusky, OH to the late August J. and Anne E. (Johnson) Pepitone Sr.
Phyllis graduated from Perkins High School in 1974. She retired after many years of service from Decko Products in Sandusky, where she served as president of the union. She has previously worked at the former Hills Department Store and Ames. Phyllis enjoyed camping, playing bingo, crafting, doing yard work and flowers. She was an animal lover and enjoyed her birds and cats very much; she also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Phyllis is survived by her sister, Patricia A. Price of Sandusky; niece, Renae (Jason) Whiting of Clyde; nephews, August "Gus" Pepitone III and Jeffrey L. Pepitone both of Sandusky; great nieces and nephew, Sierra, Katelyn and Jason; uncles, John H. Johnson of ME and Grover Ritter of Sandusky; special cousins, Linda and Ken Barber and their family of Sandusky; her 2 cats and 3 birds and numerous cousins and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Andrews in 2020 and brothers, August "Gus" and Charles "Joe" Pepitone.
Private family services will be held and conducted at a later date. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
