Sara Jean (Bland) Burrows, 88, residing in Kissimmee, FL and formerly of Sandusky, passed away Monday morning, February 22, 2021 at home following a lengthy illness.
Sara was born on May 19, 1932 in Greene County, PA to the late Herbert and Margaret (Wood) Bland.
Sara graduated from Sandusky High School in 1951. Over the years she worked as a sales associate at JcPenney and at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Sara was a member of The Chapel. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband to Florida in the winter and spending time with her family.
Sara is survived by her daughter, Diane (David) McCauley of Green Lane, PA; son, James (Judy) Burrows of Kissimmee, FL; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Bland of CA and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Sara is preceded in death by her husband, James Burrows; son, John Jay Burrows; brother, David Herbert Bland and sister, Patricia J. Morrow.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Pastor David Brown will officiate. Entombment will be held in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
