Ellsworth Harry Williams Jr., 83, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday afternoon, March 1, 2021 at Otterbein Senior Life in Marblehead.
Ellsworth was born on August 30, 1937 in Sandusky, OH to the late Ellsworth Harry Sr. and Margaret (Wetstone) Williams.
Ellsworth graduated from Sandusky High School in 1955. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years of service. Ellsworth was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Elks in Port Clinton. He was also a past president and manager of the former IAB Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, puzzles and playing cards. Ellsworth was an avid Cleveland fan, who enjoyed watching baseball and football. He was a skilled woodworker and gardener.
Ellsworth is survived by his wife, Janice (Esposito) Williams, whom he married on November 17, 1956. He is also survived by his daughter, Kathy (Ken) Canada of Sandusky; sons, Ted (Jackie) of Sandusky, Jim (Vicki) of Norwalk and Patrick (Lisa) Williams of TN; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Dianne (Ernie) Demarco of Sandusky; brother, Richard (Penny) Williams of Sandusky numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Ellsworth is preceded in death by his step-mother, Lillian Williams.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
