James D. "Jim" Hamann, 57, of Sandusky passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 in the Admiral's Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Huron.
He was born June 12, 1963 in New Port, Rhode Island and was a 1981 graduate of Danbury High School.
Jim served in the U.S. Air Force National Guard for six years. He worked at the Sandusky Coal Docks and attended the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Sandusky. Jim enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of all the Cleveland sports teams.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara J. (Holmes) Hamann of Sandusky; one son, Cory Randall of Port Clinton; one sister, Kathy (Brian) Hendrix; one niece, Mikayla Hendrix, both of Clyde; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Hamann in 2007; one niece, Shania Hendrix; and his grandparents.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date.
