Paul S. "Bud" Anderson Jr., 84, residing in Huron, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 following a brief illness.
Paul was born on November 6, 1936 in Fremont, OH to the late Paul S. Sr.. and Ruth (Egbert) Anderson.
Paul graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1954. He attended Ohio State University before transferring to Bowling Green State University, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and the ROTC. He graduated in 1960 with his BA degree. Paul was a Second Lieutenant in the US Army, spending most of his 2 years at Fort Leonard Wood, MO as a Company Commander, and eventually retired from the Army Reserves as a Captain. Following the military, Paul joined Ford Motor Company in Sandusky and retired in 1994 after 31 years of service. Paul was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, American Legion Post 83, Ford Retiree's Association and the Erie County Conservation League. In his spare time, he enjoyed investing, eating out, golf, taking care of his dog, Rosie and spending time with his family and friends.
Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Raymona (Cooper); daughters, Stacey (Mark) Dickman of Louisville, KY and Amy (Bruce) Wasem of Huron; son, Brian (Tamara) Anderson of Sandusky; grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron, Bradley and Raymond Dickman, Anthony and Christiana Wasem and Derrick and Anna Anderson; great-grandchildren, Ava Dickman, Sophia Wasem and Raelynn Dickman; sister, Cynthia Wise of Fremont; brother, William "Bill" (Sharon) Anderson of Elmore and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Williamson.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron. Rev. Dr. Brian Wilbert will officiate services. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements..
