Randy Anthony Burmeister, 72, residing in Lakeside Marblehead, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo after a lengthy illness.
Randy was born on December 14, 1948 in Sandusky, OH to the late Elton and Ila (Scott) Burmeister.
Randy attended Sandusky High School. He was a Veteran of the Marines who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. Randy retired from The American Crayon Company in Sandusky after 30 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Randy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy (Stamm) Burmeister; three children, Douglas John (Jamie) Burmeister of Sandusky, Angela (Brad) Delp of Port Clinton, and Daniel (Elizabeth) Burmeister of Marblehead; seven grandchildren, Corey, Brandon, Cameron, Kimberly, Aaron, Miriam, and Marissa; four great-grandchildren, Jayce, Lucas, Evelyn and Leon; three brothers, Frank Burmeister of Sandusky, Gary (Patty) Burmeister of FL, and Joseph Burmeister of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends may call on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Huron Chapel, 2602 Bogart Rd. Huron, OH 44839. Burial will immediately follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
