Carol L. (Perry) Frederick, 77, residing in Milan, peacefully passed away Saturday afternoon, April 3, 2021 at home and is now with her loving husband, Dick.
Carol was born on October 11, 1943 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Leo and Esther (Keener) Perry.
Carol attended the Ohio State University, and finished her Bachelor's in Education from Bowling Green State University in 1981 and also furthered her education at Ashland University. Carol retired in 2006 from Western Reserve Local Schools after 20 years of teaching elementary students. Carol was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron, the Catawba Conservation League, Middle Bass Island Yacht Club, Lyman Boat Owner's Association and the Western Reserve Education Association. She enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, boating on Lake Erie in the Lyman with her husband, bird watching, OSU football, even attending a few Rose Bowl games. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, 4 sons and her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her 4 sons, Chris (Sherri) of Ottawa Lake, MI, Dan (Tina) and David (Kathy) both of Milan, and Dean (Ansley) of Point Place, OH; grandchildren, Zachary, Keith, Nicholas, Breanna, Madisyn, Adam, Rachel and Rylee; step-grandchildren, Darren and Chanse; sister, Donna (Jim) Moore of Oak Harbor; brother, Bill (Renee) Perry of Catawba Island; aunt, Thelma Keener of Painsville, OH; her Spinger Spaniel, Skipper and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Frederick on May 8, 2017.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron with Father Jeffrey McBeth presiding. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Milan.
