Thomas Max Meredith Sr., 81, residing in Green Springs, OH and formerly of Sandusky, died Saturday, April 3, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on March 7, 1940 in Sandusky, to the late George Washington and Annie Wise (Allott) Meredith Sr., and graduated from Sandusky High School.
During his working years, he gave his all to Diebold, Matthews Ford, Fitzgerald Auto in Maryland, Clemons Boats, Venetian Marine, and many other places.
Max was active in the Jaycees as a younger man, and a member of the Science Lodge F & A.M. In addition to loving life as a whole, he loved fishing, boating, and taking care of his yard.
He is survived by his children, Terri Leakey, Gwen (Tom) Meyers, Amy (Rob) Robinson, Thomas Max (Gerry) Meredith Jr., Tracy (Frank) Rapp, Jackie (Jon) Shapiro, and Chrissy (Brad) Sanders, brother, Dave (Dianne) Meredith; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: son-in-law, Dave Leakey; and siblings, Junior Meredith, Ted Meredith, Joan Smith, Peggy Edwards, Jack Meredith and Patti Ross.
Friends may call on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 4 P.M. until time of funeral services at 7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Science Lodge #50 will hold Masonic services at 6:15 P.M. on Monday. Private graveside services will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
