Memphis C. "MC" Burns, 77, Sandusky, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born on October 9, 1934 in Meridian, MS.
He was employed by Ferrell Cheek Steel Co., Universal Clay and retired as a electrician for Chrysler.
MC loved to fish, barbeque, and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie (Stump) Burns; daughter, Leona Jones, Toledo, OH; son, Memphis "Junior" Burns, Toledo, OH; step-daughters, Rhonda (Stewart) Mattox and Deborah (Richard) Steele, both of Sandusky; step-son, Randy Musick, Sandusky; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren; best friend, Chester Matthews, Sandusky; special buddy, Draven Butts; and special companion, his dog, BooBoo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Al and Jimmy.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 20, 2012, at 2 P.M. in the Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel, Bogart Rd., Huron. Melvin M. Sayler, Chaplain, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
