Theodore A. Keller, age 86, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 13, 2021, in his residence following a brief illness.
He was born July 10, 1935, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1954; where he was a standout basketball player.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky, and the Laborers Union Local #480. He worked for Moser Construction for many years at the Davis Besse Power Plant, Oak Harbor, retiring 1997. Ted was a dairy farmer his whole life with his brother Jim and they enjoyed going to the horse and pony pulls, Ted also enjoyed going to Cold Creek Pub, Castalia, on a daily basis. Ted was an avid sports fan and loved to watch all his grandkids in their various sporting events; especially when they played "barn ball" in the old Keller barn.
He is survived by his wife Rita (Yakupak) Keller, Sandusky; two daughters Kimberly (Frank) McCleese; Surprise AZ, and Kandee (Timothy) Sessler, Castalia; favorite son Ted (Brooke) Keller II, Castalia; six grandchildren Jenny Hodgkenson, Sandusky, Stacey Faulkner, Surprise AZ, Jon Sessler, Republic, Paige Chesser, Castalia, Katie Reed, and Steven Reed. seven great grandchildren Mason and Megan Barber, Beau, Liam, and Sawyer Sessler, and Danni and Garrett Faulkner; and sister Helen Moehlman.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Christina (Kromer) Keller; son in infancy; and step daughter Tracey Reed; sisters Margaret Zieber, Mary Bradford, Rita Wammas, and RoseAnn Mannor; and brothers Ralph, Joe, and Jim Keller.
A celebration of life will be on Friday, July 16, 2021, from 3-5 PM at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
