John D. Henkel, 62, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday morning, July 11, 2021 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
John was born on December 19, 1958 in Port Clinton, OH to the late John W. and Thressa (Wheeler) Henkel.
John did personal, commercial art portraits, murals, logos, illustrations, airbrushing, tattoo and t-shirt designing and more. He loved motorcycles, listening to music and being with family and friends.
John is survived by his sisters, Colette Howser and Cecile Corrick; brothers, William (Kendra) Henkel and Tim Sharon Lawson); nieces, Ellen Corrick, Margo (Ray) Jones and Ky; nephew, Derwin Howser; great nieces, Harmony, Miracle, Savannah and Gracie; great nephews, Zion, Willie and JD.
Friends may call on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky.
