Donald H. Roeser, 90, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday morning, July 21, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center.
Don was born on July 19, 1931 in Norwalk, OH to the late Alphones J. and Dorothy E. (Klein) Roeser.
Don graduated from Sandusky High School in 1951. He retired from the Erie County Sanitary Engineering Water Department. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force. Don was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He was also a member of the VFW Post 2529, American Legion Post 83, Sandusky Eagles, the Good Samaritan Club Chapter 23 and F.A.R.A.
Don is survived by his wife of 13 years, Shirley A. (Cooke) Roeser. He is also survived by his daughter, Catherine (David) Rogers of Sandusky, Christine (Robin) Johnson of Columbus and Brenda Turner of Elyria; son, Mark (Marlene) Roeser of Sandusky; step-children, Dennis (Deana) Justi of Norwalk, Carl (Beth) Justi of Sandusky and Deb (Ken) Tursely of Castalia and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary M. (Nelson) Roeser in 2003; step-son, Ed Justi and son-in-law, Jay Turner.
Friends may call on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery, Sandusky.
