Jim Rank, 86, residing in Huron, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, August 1, 2021 at his home following a brief illness.
Jim was born on June 6, 1935 in Shelby, OH to the late John F. and Mary Ann (Augustine) Rank.
Jim retired as a crane operator from "Tuby" in Shelby, OH in 1997 after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Mansfield Powers Squadron, and one of the last members of the Fraternal Order of Black Flies and Walleyes. Jim loved fishing and his family..
Jim is survived his daughters, Stephanie (Tim) Hall, Lisa Frame and Cindy White; sons, Doug (Crystal) Rank, Chris Rank and Mike (Kathy) Rank; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Art (Pat) Rank and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise (Nowakowski) Rank on March 30, 2013; sister, Doris Jones and brothers, John, Raymond "Butch" and George Rank.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Nickel Plate Park, 1 Nickel Plate Dr., Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
