Kovedia Kashonda "KeKe" Washington

Kovedia Kashonda "KeKe" Washington, 41, August, GA, and formerly of Sandusky, departed to her heavenly home from this earth on August 9th, 2021.

On September 27, 1979, she was born to Rozelia "Rose" Washington and Alfred "Jim" Davis in Selma, Alabama.

Kovedia grew up in Sandusky, Ohio, where she attended and graduated from Sandusky High School. KeKe later moved to Augusta, Georgia where she raised her three children, Armonie, Omarion, and Daion. While in Augusta, Kovedia was an entrepreneur and a manager of several establishments.

Kovedia was full of life! She enjoyed traveling, dancing, trying different foods, listening to music, and having girls' days with Armonie. She touched many of the lives she encountered and was always willing to open up her home to assist anyone in need. KeKe was a loving mother, stepmother, Godmother, foster mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Kovedia was covered all around with beauty from birth and enjoyed connecting others with her laughter and smile! She was loved by all and will be missed.

Kovedia is survived by her family, parents, Rozelia (Franklin) Churchwell, Sandusky, OH, and Alfred (Denise) Davis, Selma, AL; children, Armonie and Omarion Sturdivant, and Daion Washington, Augusta, GA; siblings, Maurice Washington, Augusta, GA, Demetrius (Casey) Washington, Elyria, OH, Latoya Davis, Selma, AL, Alfred Davis Jr, Selma, AL, and Angelo (Antionette) Edwards, Lowndes County, AL, Danielle (Freddie) Bell, Orlando, FL, and Yolanda Churchwell, Sandusky, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends near and far.

Kovedia was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Hattie Washington and Annette Davis; uncle, Walter Davis; and aunt, Annie Taylor.

Kovedia's life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St, Sandusky, OH 44870. The public viewing will be from 9 A.M. until the time of the celebration at 11:30 A.M.
