Wesley Scott Christoff, 35, residing in Lakewood and formerly of Milan, succumbed to his battle with bipolar disorder and addiction on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
Wes was born on July 3, 1986 in Dayton, OH to Rachel L. (Steele) and Dr. Jeffrey S. Christoff.
Wes graduated from Edison High School in 2005, and had attended EHOVE, Firelands BGSU campus and Ohio University.
In spite of his struggles with mental illness and addiction, Wes had a passion and zest for life. He was loved by many, showed immense compassion for the underdog and had a great sense of humor with perfected sarcasm, charm and wit. He had a love of music and played the guitar as a form of therapy.
Wes is survived by his best friend and cohort, daughter, Willow Christoff; parents, Rachel and Dr. Jeffrey Christoff; sister, Micaela Christoff and paternal grandmother, Berta Christoff of Hilliard, OH.
Wes is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Hilda Steele and paternal grandfather, Chris Christoff, DO.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 10:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Rd., Sandusky. Pastor Todd Nieslen will officiate. Burial will follow in Milan Cemetery, Milan. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
