Jerry Stovall

Jerry Stovall 82, Sandusky passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home.

He was born on July 11, 1939 in Sandusky, Ohio. He was the son of the late Bernell (Stovall) Ray and Thomas Jerry Stovall.

He accepted Christ into his life at a young age and was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

After completing his education at Sandusky High School, Jerry joined the US Armed Forces serving our country in the United States Navy. Later after his Honorable Discharge from the US Navy, he started his civilian career and held several positions across multiple industries. Jerry's work career was highlighted by a few key positions with Scott Paper Company, co-owner in a private security firm, and Sandusky Plastics, where he served as Union Representative and later retired. Unable to sit still after a few years of retirement, Jerry took on a security role with the Battery Park Marina-where he truly enjoyed patrolling the docks.

Jerry was known for his love of music and would spontaneously break out in dance or often kept the beat by slapping his thigh, when he heard his favorite tunes. He was an absolute fanatic of his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and was often seen wearing that infamous Black and Yellow.
