Virginia I. Rosebrook

Virginia I. Rosebrook 94, Sandusky, entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2021, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

Born on April 24, 1927, living all of her 94 years to the fullest. On March 14, 1948, she married Howard Rosebrook who preceded her in death on August 27, 2014.

She loved life and enjoyed every opportunity to be with family and friends, always cheerful, making everyone feel welcome. Many wonderful times were spent around the table with tasty meals she prepared, a game of cards or bingo. She had a talent for backyard gardening and flowers. Many evenings she spent crocheting one of her many afghans she lovingly made.

Ginny was a cook at Bogart Elementary School in Castalia, doing what she loved.

In retirement Ginny and Howard spent many winters active in their Flordia community. Summers were spent boating and fishing on Lake Erie. Ginny also enjoyed volunteering at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her children, Lynne (Dan) Vorst and Myron (Rene Mihalic) Rosebrook; grandchildren, Amber (Buck) Rosengarten and Kyle (Lyssa) Vorst; great-grandchildren, Brystol, Jayda, and Tegan Rosengarten, and soon to be Baby Vorst; special sister-in-law, Von McDole; nieces and nephews she enjoyed spending time with; many dear friends and her special friend, David Hills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyce and Edna McDole; In-laws, Ralph and Flossie Rosebrook; brother, Don McDole; sister, Delores (Dale) Wagner; and sister-in-law, Doris Jean (Bill) Mason.

A celebration of Life for family will be held at St. Stephen United Church of Christ, Sandusky. Rev. Jerald Fenske will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
