Tonya Rene Morris 61, Sandusky, went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 19, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Alliance, OH on June 25, 1960 to Evelyn Thomas and the late Benjamin H. "Benny" Rollison, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School.
She was employed by the Great Wolf Lodge, Sandusky, until her health would no longer allow her to work.
Tonya was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where she joined under the leadership of Pastor Joseph M.A. Strong. She loved her family, family gatherings, her church, and her friends, but the greatest loves of her life were her son, Lawrence "AJ" Jordan and her granddaughter and best friend, Theresa Rene Jordan.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Lawrence W. "AJ" (Ashley Campbell) Jordan, Sandusky; granddaughter, Theresa Rene Jordan, Sandusky; mother, Evelyn Thomas, Sandusky; sisters, Verna "Beak" Morris, Maggie Watson both of Sandusky, Tamara Rollison-Newton, Lorain, Katrice Mines, Marietta, GA; brothers, Anthony (Hope) Watson, Sr., Sandusky, Erie Rollison, Anthony (Krystal) Rollison, both of Lorain; aunt, Angela (Leonard) Brady, Warren, OH; numerous neieces, nephews; adopted granddaughter, Anjevia Charlton, adopted great-grandson, Ajore Charlton; adopted brother, Donnovan "Donnie" Johnson, and Tonya's care team, Latressa Alexander, Lisa Jones, and Ladrika McDuffy, host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; maternal and paternal grandparents; sisters, Lovella Nickolson-Pickens and Terri Fiske-Price; brothers, Dewayne Watson in infancy and Vincent Rollison.
Friends may call on Monday, September 27, 2021, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Joseph M.A. Strong will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
