Nora E. Smith, 91, of Monroeville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in the Gaymont Nursing Home, Norwalk.

She was born April 12, 1930, in Bellevue, Ohio and was a 1948 graduate of Monroeville High School.

Nora married the love of her life, Robert W. Smith on February 4, 1950. They shared a passion for antiques and worked together for many years running Smith's Antiques. They began their antiquing journey in their home and spent several years exhibiting at toy shows across the country. Nora had a special interest in antique dolls and toys and was an accomplished seamstress. For many years

Nora volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Bank in Monroeville and made weekly visits to many residents at local nursing homes. Nora was a member of the former Hunts Corners UCC and attended the Congregational Community United Church of Christ, Monroeville.

She is survived by one daughter, Natalie (William) Kaltenbach of Bellevue; one son, Bradley (Alisa) Smith of Monroeville; eight grandchildren, Katie, Libbie, Carson, Chloe, Parker, Stella, Nolan, and Hudson; four great grandchildren, Caleb, Cole, Clare, and Josie; one sister, Myrtle Jira; one sister-in-law, Charlene Foor; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Smith; one daughter in infancy, Nancy Jo Smith; one son, Douglas Harper Smith at the age of 21; parents, James and Ida (Brown) Harper; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Jira, Harry Mason and Donald Smith.

Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of memorial service at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 23, 2021 in the Congregational Community UCC, 29 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate.
