Cheryl Ann (Thorpe) Eschenauer, 66, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Wednesday evening, September 29, 2021 at Providence Care Center.
Cheryl was born on August 3, 1955 in Sandusky, OH to James Francis and Gayle (Meacham) Thorpe.
Cheryl graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1973. She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and most recently a member of the Sandusky Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Cheryl enjoyed gardening, hiking, camping, a little classic rock and cold beer. She was a cat lover and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Cheryl is survived by her mother, Gayle; daughter, Tara (Michael) Grodi of Port Clinton; son, Matt (Christina) Eschenauer of Vermilion; grandchildren, Eryn, Aubree, Erica, Shaina, Jacob and Cole; two great-grandchildren on the way; sisters, Kara (Jack) Beasley of Sandusky and Robyn (Fran) Nason of Marblehead; brothers, Martin (Kelly) Thorpe of Sandusky and Christopher (Judy) Thorpe of Vickery and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, James.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Burial will be held at a later date at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
