Tannie Shine Jr. 67, Sandusky, grew his wings and went home to glory, October 4, 2021.
He was born October 2, 1954, to the late Tannie and Cora (Coffer) Shine Sr., in Starkville, MS.
Tannie attended Exalted Word and Porter Memorial CME Church, and held several positions of employment, Nabisco Filling Brittle CO., Cooke Factory, and seasonal at Cedar Point.
He loved his family and friends, loved to laugh and be the life of the party. Coordinating the annual family fish fry, playing chess, we all have special memories of him.
Tannie leaves to cherish his memories, children, Tammie (Kevin) Smith, Shannice Shine, Taqula Carroll, Erica Walls, Shakaye Hendry, Lindrako Hendry, Justin Shine, Jerome Shine, Jonathan Shine, Terrance Shine, and Jason Walls; many grandchildren; step mother, Annie L. Shine, sisters, Katherine (Marvin) Hunter, Elaine Shine, Cora Lynn Shine, Pamela Shine, and Michelle (Shawn) Shine-Gray; brothers, Ralph Shine, Curtis (Janet) Shine, Timmie Shine, and Jerome Shine; special friends, Mary Rankins, Deloris Alexander, Elijah Walls and Larry Graves; aunts, Dora Howard, Girtha Shine, Annie K. Tate and Elzada Shine; a host of nephews, nieces, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Carroll; son, Rasheed Thomas, special uncles and aunts.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, October 11, 2021, at 3 P.M. in Eagles Nest Church, 2126 Pipe St., Sandusky.
