Judith Elaine (Dotter) Schwerer

Judith Elaine (Dotter) Schwerer, 85, residing in Huron, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 14, 2021 at her daughter's residence surrounded by her loving family.

Judith was born on May 27, 1936 in Columbus, OH to the late Edward Joseph and Mary Jane (Hodgson) Dotter.

Judith started her nursing career at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus. After moving to Sandusky, she was a nurse at St. Mary's High School for 15 years and worked at Cedar Point in the summers at the First Aid Station. Judith was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was known for being a fabulous cook, and loved to go the beach, and have family dinners with her children and grandchildren.

Judith is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ronald Schwerer Sr., whom she married on June 18, 1960. She is also survived by her daughters, Debra (Marko) Vovk of Lakewood, Jennifer (Jack) Lenczyk and Laura (Michael) Heil both of Huron; sons, Ronald Schwerer Jr. of Sandusky and James Schwerer of Huron; grandchildren, Alesha, Nadia, Alana, Joey, Jared, Jason, Madeline, Mckenzie, Lynsie, Anna and Danielle; sisters, Connie (Geary) Bradley of Rock Hill, SC, Peggy (Clive) Soden of Corona Del Mar, CA and Joanna Curran of Westerville, OH; brother, Ned (Cathy) Dotter of Naples, FL and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Friends may call on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 9:00 am until time of the Memorial Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Father Zach Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
