George "Jerry" Fleming Wertenberger Jr., 70, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at his residence in Sandusky after a brief illness.
Jerry was born April 28, 1951 in Cleveland, OH to the late Dr. George and Margaret "Babe" (Martinson) Wertenberger.
He is survived by his three loving sisters, Lynn (Leon) Sellards of Waynesville NC, Susan Wertenberger of Avon, OH and Judy (Joe) Palazzo. Also surviving are nephews, Ryan Bellman, Scott Bellman, Dustin Bellman and Joel (Lana) Bellman, Evan Whitehead and niece, Kara Whitehead. Also surviving are many great nephews and nieces. He was loved by all.
After graduating from Sandusky High School in 1971, Jerry attended and graduated from Bell and Howell Tech. He worked as an electronics technician at Rockwell until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman, fisherman and boater.
Private family services will take place.
