Marilyn J. Prieur, 82, residing in Sandusky, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 30, 2021 surrounded by her family at Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.
She was born on December 18, 1938 in Sandusky to the late Fredwin and Dorothy (Bango) Nutzki.
Marilyn graduated from Sandusky High School in 1956. She retired from General Motors after 27 years of service. Marilyn was a member of the UAW local 913 and the ladies retiree's lunch group. She was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Marilyn enjoyed her family, especially get together's and family holidays, but she most enjoyed her Doberman fur babies, especially Rusty her latest companion for many years.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Joyce Old of Sandusky; one step daughter, Deborah Rogers of Sandusky; two step-grandchildren, Brian (Marsha) Rogers and Richard "Rick" (Frances) Prieur; one niece, Denise (Joe) Hermes of Sandusky; one nephew, Michael Old of Clyde; her great nieces and nephews, Heather, John, Sara, Crystal and Kelly; sister-in-law, Nancy (Jim) Naderer of Sandusky and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Bill" Prieur in 2012 to whom she was with for 51 years, and two step-sons, Richard Prieur and William Prieur Jr.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 3,021 from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave. Sandusky. Pastor Mel Sayler will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
