Ron Johnston, 55, of Norwalk, passed away early Thursday morning, November 18, 2021 surrounded by his family following a yearlong battle with cancer.
Ron was born on February 26, 1966 in Arcadia, CA to Earl E. and Billie J. (Feltner).
Ron loved everything outdoors; hunting, fishing, mowing the grass and even plowing snow. He was also a master griller. Ron's deepest love though, was his grandsons.
Ron is survived by his wife, Kelly (Moore) Johnston, whom he married on October 11, 1992. He is also survived by his daughters, Courtney (Matt Barthel) Johnston of Vermilion and Emily J. (Brandon Burmeister) Collins of Norwalk; grandsons, Lucas and Theo; mother, Billie Johannsen; brothers, David, Richard (Lisa) and Eric Johnston and many nieces and other relatives.
Ron is preceded in death by his father, Earl; step-father, Ron Johannsen and son-in-law, Ethan Collins.
Friends may call on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky.
