Shirley F. (Lane) Lentz, 87, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at home following a lengthy illness.
Shirley was born on October 8, 1934 in California, PA to the late Daniel Frederick and Pauline Alice (Zembower) Lane.
Shirley graduated from Sandusky High School in 1952. She retired from JCPenney in 1992 after many years of service. Shirley was a member of Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed doing ceramics and working in her yard. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandsons.
Shirley survived by her daughters, Cindy (William) Meggitt of Sandusky and Deborah (Thomas) Timm; grandchildren, Becca (Aaron Ekleberry) Timm and Dawn Austin; great-grandsons, Brody Ekleberry and Gavin Austin; brother, Robert (Ellie) Lane; brother-in-law, Carl Conlin; her sidekick, Hershey and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lentz and sister, Ruth Conlin.
Friends may call on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Pastor Barbara Stephens-Rich will officiate. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery, Sandusky.
