Shantrel "Trel" Onique Walk, 41, Sandusky, succumbed at home after a lengthy illness. She was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 14, 2021.
She was born to the late Preston Lorenzo and Darlene L. (Davis) Walk on November 26, 1979 at 7:39 PM at Good Samaritan Hospital in Sandusky, OH.
Shantrel was very beautiful in both physical and inner beauty. She was a dynamic woman whose personality was that of a strong independent woman. She exemplified a modern woman who knew her worth and value as a woman.
Shantrel was powerful and passionate; always putting the welfare of her godsons and family first. If there was a need, Trel was always there to lend a helping hand to anybody. Trel was employed by Ventura Inc. and also worked a variety of jobs, but her passion was working with people and especially children. With a sense of humor, she was courageous, brave, fearless and determined.
She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1998. She ran track and lettered for four years. She participated in numerous clubs and organizations while in high school. She loved to travel and loved nature and she enjoyed tending her many plants. Trel was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her time and knowledge with her nieces. She loved her dog, Blu. He was her heart.
Shantrel joined St. Stephen AME Church as a child and later joined and was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She leaved to cherish her love, devotion and wonderful memories, her mother, Darlene L. Walk; her brother, Julian Ashley (Latishya) Walk; nieces, J'Nadia Ashley, Jayda Ashley, Brittani Kitara and Bridget Kiana; great-nephew, Jaxson A.; uncle, Donovan Davis and aunts, Gloria Pettis, Shelia Davis and Delisa (Carl) Marshall; special cousin, Darnell Walk and godsons, Reeves, Re'Shaun, Re'Shaud Roldan and Jayveon Knight; and god sister, Brandy Coleman and god brother, Mike Graves, Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Shantrel was preceded in death by her father, Preston Lorenzo Walk; maternal grandparents, David and Barbara Davis; paternal grandparents, Preston and Elnora Walk; uncles, Allen Walk, Kim Douglas Walk, Gerald McGowan and David Davis, Jr.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10 AM until time of service at 12 Noon at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
