Barbara Jacobs, 82, formerly of Bellevue and more recently of Port Clinton, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Lutheran Memorial Home in Sandusky.
She was born December 17, 1929 the daughter of William and Henrietta (Ziegler) Middleswarth. She married Theodore Jacobs on October 25, 1953 in Bellevue; He preceded her in death in 1974.
Barbara was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, VFW ladies auxiliary of Port Clinton, the Port Clinton Moose Lodge, the Bellevue Eagles Auxiliary and the Sandusky U.A.W.
She is survived by her son P. Mitchell Jacobs of Tiffin; daughters, Terri Cole of Findlay, Bobbi Sanders of Elida; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son Daniel Jacobs, brothers, William Middleswarth, Bernard Clark, sisters, Lucille Hughson, Joyce Troike and son-in-law, Jeff Sanders.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Bellevue City Cemetery.
