Melodie A. Adelman

Melodie A. Adelman, 69, of Willard and formerly of Monroeville passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at her residence.

She was born December 11, 1951 in Destin, Florida and had lived most of her life in Monroeville.

Melodie was employed as the Food Service Director for the Monroeville Public Schools System and for the Willard City Schools. Prior to this, she and her husband owned and operated the former Pizza Station in Monroeville. Most recently, she was a cashier at the Willard Save-a-Lot Store. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville and had served on the Monroeville School Board for many years. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Melodie also sang the National Anthem at many local sporting events.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine (Derek) Yeagley and Cheryl (Jeff) Rarick, both of Willard; three sons, Allan (Mackenzie) Adelman of Pataskala, Ohio, Dr. Ronald (Dr. Vanessa) Adelman of Plymouth, MI., and Daryl (Julie) Adelman of New Philadelphia, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren, Taylor (Andrew) Devlin, Morgan (Kyle) Kluding, Kelsie and Kady Rarick, Elise and Gavin Adelman, Lucas Yeagley, Marcus, Alec, Lauren and Ella Adelman, Alexis, Cecelia, Beatrice and Michael Adelman; one great granddaughter, Penelope Devlin; very special family friends, Colonel David (Kim) Krebs; and their daughters, Allison and Paige; one sister, Lynette (Bob) Krull; two brothers, Richard (Dana) Leber, Jr. and Eugene Leber; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Adelman in 2015 and her parents, Richard P. and June (Dailey) Leber, Sr.

Friends may call from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Father Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.
