Gladys Sue Lewis, 56, of Sandusky, Ohio and formerly Manchester, Kentucky, passed away peacefully November 26, 2021 at Stein Hospice, in Sandusky, Ohio.
She was born November 21, 1966 in Manchester Kentucky to JR and Nannymae (Hensley) Bundy.
Gladys was married to her true love, Cecil Lewis, and was a devout wife for many years. She loved bluegrass festivals and country music. Gladys was known at home for cooking meals from scratch and canning vegetables from the backyard garden. Gladys was often near her cats, caring and loving for them dearly. She enjoyed her time most with friends and family. Gladys would have given the shirt off her back to help those she knew and loved.
Gladys spent 15 years working for KBI and was a union member of UAW Local #913. She enjoyed the value of hard work and in recent years Gladys had become one of the most endeared employees of Strawberry Hill, looking forward to future plans in the kitchen with the Patel family, whom she loved as her own.
Surviving besides her husband Cecil, is her mother, Nannymae Bundy, stepson, Jacob Cecil Lewis, stepdaughter, Alexis Victoria Lewis, brothers, Eddie Hensley, Jimmie (Dovey) Darrel, and Mike Bundy all of KY, sisters, Lucy Benge and Angie Bundy both of KY. Gladys Lewis is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, JR Bundy, brothers, Larry Bundy, David Bundy, Jene Bundy, and a sister Lisa (Bundy) Lewis.
Services for Gladys will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, Ohio. Friends may call from 4 P.M. until time of funeral services at 6:30 P.M., Randy King will officiate.
