Tonya L. Wilhelm, 60, of Monroeville passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, December 4, 2021, in the Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born March 22, 1961, in Sandusky and was a 1979 graduate of Monroeville High School.
Tonya's hobbies included painting, playing cards, hunting, fishing, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Alan J. Wilhelm whom she married on October 8, 1982; four children, Jennifer Wilhelm of Monroeville, Jason (Andrea) Wilhelm, Joseph (Jennifer) Wilhelm, and Jonathan (Erica) Wilhelm, all of Bellevue; eleven grandchildren, Owen, Evan, Isaac, Ava, Patience, Tonya, Bennett, Tanner, Ember, Jackson, and Layne; her mother, Sarah Willis of Monroeville; two siblings, Denise Norman and Colonel Willis, Jr., both of Monroeville; mother-in-law, Ruth Wilhelm of Monroeville; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Colonel Willis, Sr.; one nephew, Zachary Norman, and father-in-law, Leonard Wilhelm.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Pastor Andy Rupert of Calvary Baptist Church, Willard will officiate. The family will receive friends from the conclusion of the service until 7:00 pm.
