Audrey Jane (Jennings) Humphreys, 90, residing in Huron, passed away early Friday morning, December 3, 2021 at her home with her daughters by her side.
Audrey was born on December 13, 1930 in Chester, England to the late Robert and Ethel May (Lewis) Jennings.
Audrey retired from the former GTE, currently Verizon, in 1990 after 25 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed being a homemaker, golfing, knitting, gardening and spending time with family.
Audrey is survived by her daughters, Elaine (Gary) Popke of Sandusky, Sharon Knauer of Huron and Linda (Rod) Smith of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Eric Popke, Bradley Smith and Ryan Smith; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gage, Makayla, Gavin and Rylee Popke; brothers, Robert (Pam) Jennings of Kent, England and Graham Jennings of London, England and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Geoffrey W. Humphreys on April 30, 2004 and son-in-law, Donald J. Knauer.
A private family graveside service will be held in the Oakland Cemetery Chapel, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
