Charles R. Miller, Sr. 79, of Monroeville passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at his residence.

He was born at home in Bellevue, Ohio, on January 13, 1942, to Alfred and Agnes (Hay) Miller.

He attended Bellevue High School and was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Monroeville.

He married Anita Wagner on August 31, 1963. He worked on area Farms, then Farrell Cheek Steel Company in Sandusky, and then retired from Armstrong Air in Bellevue.

Charles was known for his love of nature and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was known for his work ethic and passed that --as well as his love and respect of nature-- to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his seven children; Bernadette (Russell) Bishop of Norwalk, Veronica (Ed) Wilhelm of Monroeville, Charles, Jr. (Ivy) Miller of Shiloh, Eric Miller of Willard, Andy (David) Miller of Columbus, Joshua (Shelly) Miller of Monroeville, and Jacob Miller of Monroeville; eleven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton (Marilyn) and Paul (Debbie); and eight sisters, Bertha (Terry) Eisenhower, Rose (Leroy) Nelson, Ann (Jim) Mellein, Helen (Dale) Gasteier, Martha Turner, Bernie Stockmaster, Rita (Frank) Smith, and Catherine (Gus) McConnell.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife Anita in 2007; his parents, his brothers Eugene Miller, and Fr. Joseph Miller, C.PP.S, and a grandson, Drayke Miller.

Friends may call from 9:30 am until time of funeral mass at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Saint Joseph Endowment Fund, 79 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847.
