Carol Ann Knoll, 84, of Sandusky passed away early Tuesday morning, December 7, 2021, in the Parkvue Healthcare Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 22, 1937, in Sandusky.
Carol and her husband Bob spent many winters in St. Petersburgh, FL. Over the years she followed her husband when he was racing, and she drove in Powder Puff races herself in Fremont and Sandusky. Carol also enjoyed working with stain glass.
She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Knoll (John) Pankow of Milan, Beverly Baker, and Brenda (Mike) Oeder, both of Sandusky; one son, Robert E. (Belinda) Knoll, Jr. of Sandusky; twelve grandchildren, Nikki (Hollis Burris) Pankow, Shane (Shannon) Pankow, Matt (Andrea) Baker, Jeff Baker, Jen Oeder, Brad (Kristin) Oeder, Ross (Christa) Oeder, Mandee Frischee, Kary (Brian) Millis, Nick (Hazel Basinger) Knoll, Zac (Beth Killian) Knoll, and Lili (Mari) Pinherio, numerous great grandchildren, one sister, Becky (Tony) Gast of Sandusky, two sisters in law, Elizabeth Knoll and Betty Lou Roeser, both of Sandusky; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Knoll, Sr.; son in law, Joe Baker; brother-in-law, Vernard Knoll; mother and stepfather, Laura and James Thompson, and father, Ralph Bullock, and sister Lauretta Jacoby.
Friends may call 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Friday, December 10, 2021, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 11, 2021, in the funeral home. Pastor John Paputza will officiate. Entombment will be in the Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
