Priscilla Lynne McCormick, 77, of Sandusky passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 7, 2021, at her residence.
She was born April 9, 1944, in Keokee, Virginia and had lived in Sandusky most of her life.
Lynne was a 1962 graduate of Perkins High School and was also a graduate of Sandusky School of Practical Nursing. She was an LPN for thirty-three years, retiring from Firelands Regional Medical Center. Prior to this, she worked at the former Good Samaritan Hospital in the Psychiatric Unit.
Lynne was a member of Eagles Nest Church and was a part of the original founding members joining at the age of ten. She enjoyed serving the church as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, and church council member and volunteering at the Humane Society of Erie County. Lynne loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert A. McCormick of Sandusky; three sons, Christopher (Susan) McCormick of Santee, SC, Brian McCormick of Sandusky, and Brendan (Denise) McCormick of Lakeside; three grandchildren, Jessica (Josh) James, Jeremy McCormick, both of Sandusky, and Nora McCormick of Bellevue; three great grandchildren, Achilles James, Hazel Mae McCormick, and Ivy June McCormick; two brothers, Dennis Blankenship of Charleston, SC and Bruce Blankenship of Greenville, SC; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Faye (Calton) Blankenship, and one brother, Alan Blankenship.
At Lynne's request cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 15, 2021, in the Eagles Nest Church, 2126 Pipe Street, Sandusky. Pastor Darrell Gant will officiate. A luncheon will follow the memorial service at the church.
