Jeffrey L. Doss, 67 of Monroeville, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at home.
He was born June 29, 1954, to Cecil Doss and Ruby Ware in Danville, IL.
Jeff was a proud veteran of the US Navy (1973-1977) and the US Merchant Service. He worked a variety of jobs on Air Force bases world-wide then at Solae in Bellevue, from which he retired.
He married Mary (Molly) O'Sullivan on August 27, 1983, in Panama City, FL. He spent 15 years traveling the world with his wife and family as Molly served in the United States Air Force. They lived in South Korea, Alaska, and Canada before settling in Monroeville. He loved traveling, exploring new cultures, and meeting new people.
Jeff loved being outdoors, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the sunshine. He was happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren, Claire, Andrew, and Elijah Magoto.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Molly, daughters Abigail (Travis) Magoto and Regina, and sons Dylan and Jude (Autumn Marsillett). He is also survived by his grandchildren Claire, Andrew, and Elijah Magoto, and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Robert Ware, his brothers Charles Dockery and Timothy Doss, and his grandson, Isaac Magoto.
A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Church in Monroeville on December 27, 2021 at 10:00 am followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Please plan to wear a mask if attending.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norwalk Area Food Bank or the Huron County Non-Food Bank.
