Rosalina "Rose" (Cobian) Gale, 71, residing in Bellevue, passed away Saturday evening, December 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her children.
Rose was born on November 17, 1950 in San Juan de Amula, Jalisco Mexico to Adelelmo Cobian and Josefina (Santana) Avila.
Rose graduated from Margaretta High School in 1970. Following graduation, she entered into the cosmetology program at EHOVE and received her license. Rose was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She was employed at Key Bank, where she was head teller for over 20 years. Rose enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, traveling and spending time by the ocean. Rose's greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, always attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events. Family was the most important aspect in her life, and she loved taking care of everyone. She was a second mother to all that knew her.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Gale; sons, Michael Gale Jr. and Pete Gale; mother, Josefina Avila; grandchildren, Marissa, Nathaniel, Emily, Avah and Mia; siblings, Salvador Santana, Nancy (Larry) Hart, Jorge Santana, Bob (Jackie) Avila, Delia (William) Fleming, Ruben (Kari) Avila, Maria Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez and 9 other paternal siblings; special cousin, Victoria Chavez; sisters-in-law, Peggy Gale, Theresa Peabody and JoAnn Merriman and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on June 26, 1971, Michael K. Gale Sr; father, Adelelmo; her step-father, Jesus Avila; mother-in-law, Genevieve (Bailey) Bober; father-in-law, Peter Gale and brother-in-law, William Peabody.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
