Lillian Yetter, age 89, of Vickery, passed away December 2, 2021, at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born in Bellevue, to Reuben and Gladys (Rife) Frederick, Sept. 14, 1932.
Lillian was a graduate of York High School. After high school, she met Ernest Yetter at a barn dance and they were married on Feb. 28, 1953 for 65 years. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, where she participated in any committees and jobs the Church asked her to do, both she and Ernie were involved with Town and Country Players when the group was at Townsend School. She was a cast member and also made costumes. Lillian was also a member of the We are Mothers Club and was an avid gardener with both indoor and outdoor plants; while donating many plants to area churches' rummage sales.
She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and she enjoyed traveling the United States with Ernie. Lillian was employed at Northern Ohio Telephone Co., the W. T. Grant Store, Bellevue, the Ohio Turnpike in Clyde as a waitress, and she retired after 20 years of service from Margaretta School System as an aide working mainly with the kindergarten classes.
Lillian is survived by her five children: Marc (Ann) Yetter, Wakeman; Susan Yetter, Vickery; Sandra (Jeff) Nemitz, Castalia; Matt (Lynne) Yetter, Vickery; and David (Holly) Yetter, Vickery; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sisters: Luci Garman, Sandusky; Virginia Stimson, Castalia; brother-in-law Mel Osmon, Clyde; and many nieces and nephews
Preceding her in death is her husband Ernest Yetter in 2019, parents Reuben and Gladys (Rife) Frederick; brothers: Robert Frederick, George Frederick, Charles Frederick, and James Frederick; sisters: Karen Whitlatch, Barbara Elchert, and Eleanor Osmon; and niece Donna Jean Brissell.
Friends may call from 10 AM until time of memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St. Castalia. The Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Castalia Cemetery.
