Ralph A. Perla, 78, residing in Bucyrus and formerly of Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, December 31, 2021 at Avita Health System Bucyrus Hospital following a brief illness.
Ralph was born on May 5, 1943 in Sandusky, OH to the late Florian A. and Evelyn (Dutcher) Perla.
Ralph graduated from Sandusky High in 1962. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed as a tool and die maker at Delphi until his retirement in 2006. Ralph was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood carving, baking bread, working in the yard and talking with his grandsons.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Fisher) Perla, whom he married on September 16th 1978. He is also survived by his daughter, Emily (Perla) Huntsberger and son in law Steven Huntsberger; grandchildren Clark and Nicholas Huntsberger.
Friends may call on January 8th, 2022 at 9:30 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at the Groff funeral home 1607 E. Perkins Ave. Sandusky. Deacon Phil Dinovo will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
